When I was young,
“the other” was always by my side.
With “him”, an unknown world stretched endlessly before me.
It was as if my life was a play, and the curtain was about to rise.
“Promise we’ll always be together”.
Yet that world of wonder became swallowed up by the reality of every day.
And before I knew it, “the other” was gone.
And I convinced myself I didn’t care.
But of course I remember －
I remember the moment I let him go.
To break away from the bounds of this endless reality,
I summon “him” again to take me to that unseen world of wonder.
“The other” is the wild within me.
イギリス英語が不慣れな人にとってはやや聞き取りにくいところもあるかもしれません。
３文目の最後がどうしても聞き取れず、トヨタさんに問い合わせたところ”rise”とのお答えをいただきました。
字幕や直前の部分を聞く限り、意味上も文法上もriseが来るのはわかるのですが、発音が微妙です…。まあこれも練習。英語が常に明瞭に聞こえるとは限りませんから。
